Technical Officials Qualifications

At Swim Rotorua we strongly encourage parents of swimmers to train to be a timekeeper at swim meets. Without your help we would be unable to run any meets at all. Once you have qualified as a timekeeper it is possible to train as an Inspector of Turns (IOT) - again without parents acting in this capacity we would not be able to run any Swimming New Zealand sanctioned swim meets. If you are interested, please contact swimrotoruarecorder@gmail.com

Should you wish to take things further, then Swimming Bay of Plenty will be happy to help you in your pathway to becoming a regionally qualified Starter, Judge of Strokes and finally a Referee.

All the Nationally qualified officials in Swim Rotorua started out as timekeepers.
